March is Women's History Month with International Women's Day coming up this Sunday on March 8th!
In honor of IWD, we wanted to share a little about three of the women and their messages that have and continue to inspire us! The list could go on and on of course, but we felt the messages these three women carry are especially important. They can also easily be adapted to every day life, so listen up and give it a try!
Everyone's favorite TV show host not only stood up for the LGBTQ+ community and her own beliefs when she openly came out as gay back in 1997, but has always spread only love and happiness by helping others. She reminds people about the most important message and thing we can do every day: be kind. It's what she stands for and teaches everyone around her, which we think makes her an amazing woman and role model to look up to. Kindness is something we can all incorporate into our every day lives, it's free and we promise it will make you happy in return! Thank you Ellen for continuously spreading kindness in a time where we are afraid to turn on the news in fear of more bad news.
How could we talk about influential women and not mention the youngest but biggest climate activist the world has seen? We deeply admire Greta for standing up for what she believes in so strongly and her unbelievable strength in dealing with the many critics she has had to face at her young age. Not everyone may like the truth she speaks, but you have to admire the effort and work she puts into waking up people in power to deal with the climate crisis before it's too late. Well done Greta for not caring what people say about you and continuing to work hard on spreading your important message in a time where people try to avoid listening to what they don't want to hear!
The award-winning singer and performer was named entertainer of the year 2019 by Time magazine and is spreading the important message of self-love, body positivity and female empowerment. Underlining her growing reputation as a norm-shattering, plus-size style icon by appearing on the cover of the British Vogue, her body-positivity and her celebration of self-care is infectious! Her hits Truth Hurts and Good As Hell are not only absolute bangers, but tell women to stand up for themselves and not to let anyone treat them badly: “If he don’t love you anymore, just walk your fine ass out the door” - amen sister! Thank you Lizzo for empowering women all over the world to be themselves!
