Your real name and Instagram handle:
Where are you from?
Ljubljana (Slovenia), one of Europe's greenest and most liveable capitals.
What got you into doing nails?
Starting from a “collection” of about 2 neutral nail polishes and having no clue about nail art or nail care at all I stumbled upon some YouTube nail art videos for beginners about 3 years ago and got hooked immediately. I purchased a few more bright colored polishes and some dotting tools and tried a few designs myself. I was so excited then but needless to say I now wince a little when I see my first ever nail art photo:
But I had super fun making it though and I wanted to learn more techniques to be able to create more designs. So I started taking a bit more care of my nails, practiced different designs, bought a lot more nail polish and nail art tools, and here we are today:
Your favorite kind of nail art design to do?
I love making landscape manis and Japanese inspired designs the most, especially with bright colors and gradients.
A nail polish shade you couldn’t live without?
Turquoise! I will always gravitate towards this color when I’m buying polish, even though I probably have 50 shades of turquoise already. I just can’t help myself.
Other nail artist(s) you admire?
Debbie @ladyandthe_stamp, Claire @clairestelle8, Carolina @nailsanatomy, Fifi @damselnails and many more...
One of your all-time favorite manicures you have ever done?
It’s hard to pick a favorite mani, and sometimes a design that you love and are so proud of isn’t a design that everyone else likes. However I mostly do nail art for myself and will continue to do what I love, completely understanding that my designs aren’t necessary everyone’s cup of tea. And one of my favorite designs so far has to be the African sunset mani:
Do you have a favorite season of the year you like to do nail art for most?
I love spring and summer. The bright colors, the flowers and the vibe of these two seasons really inspire me the most.
What do you like to do besides nail art?
I’m more boring a person than what you might expect from my nail art. Hanging out with my friends over a tasty meal, visiting escape rooms with them and practicing yoga are just some of the things that I enjoy.
What’s your favorite thing to do on a lazy day?
Polish my nails and watch a good movie.
Favorite Social Platform?
Instagram. That’s the only platform I use as I don’t want to spend too much time on social media. For me Instagram is a way of expressing my creativity and connecting with others with similar interests. I don’t ever want for social media to become more important than personal contact or real life, if that makes sense.
